The story of a lost Christmas and the rule of withdrawal twice a week

The stories of ditching people in various ways seems to be just fun for freelancer.com. An incident of blocking money showing the excuse of Christmas is found. Given that freelancer.com created it's own rule that users can withdraw money twice a week, it is expected that at least they will obey their own rules! But no, the case is not that. They even block money showing excuse of Christmas disrupting it's users Christmas.

The victim user pointed out that Freelancer.com's provision regarding withdrawal was that a user can withdraw twice a week. But on December 8th 2011 when the user placed a withdrawal request the site showed him message that-

there is a hold due to the Christmas season. We will not be given access to our payments until after December 29 to 30th.

The alarming concern is that, the victim user never got any previous notice on such change in funds release date. This so insane. There was a difference between more than 2 weeks between 8th December and 25th December. Why they had to close payment withdrawal before 2 weeks before Christmas? Even if it was necessary why didn't they notify this in advance? This is so cruel. The user said-

For the past month or more, I have gotten up early in the morning, worked on my projects, went to work full time at the school where I am employed, then returned home and worked on freelancer projects again until I could barely could keep my eyes open. Why? So that my family would have a Christmas, which you carelessly and needlessly stole from us.
